Welcome to
Growing Stages Daycare
Our mission is to give parents peace of mind, while keeping your children safe, healthy, and making progress toward their developmental milestones.
Meet Ester
Hello, my name is Ester Da Silveira! I am a family daycare provider licensed with the State of Massachusetts and the owner of Growing Stages Daycare. For 18 years, I’ve dreamt of opening a home daycare to serve my community and working families in the Brockton area.
When my two amazing boys were going through their growing stages, I worked long retail hours in the skincare and beauty industry. Thankfully, I had a good support system from loved ones who could take care of them during the day. Not everyone is so lucky — especially when parents have to work to raise their kids like I did.
After taking Early Childhood Education classes at Bunker Hill Community College, I turned my small home into a space that is safe, inviting, and equipped with all the necessary tools to help children prepare for the transition to school, while also having fun!
The road to make a difference
The goal is to work with each child at their level and sequence of growth during their developmental milestones at their typical ages that will help me set up the best learning tools and goals that’s achievable.
Development of the domains we will work on to get each and every child to grow healthy and happy and be ready for school settings.

-
Once I know more about your child I will be able to create activities and curriculum that will support your child’s learning.
-
Experiencing how each child grows at each stage helps me plan and create effective learning environments and support both you and them appropriately.
-
Knowing how children grow and develop skills set at a specific age helps me to understand typical behavior and set achievable and appropriate goals for children.
-
This type of curriculum will allow children to figure out what they should do in certain situations without adult’s help or with very minimum help.
-
Learning self-help skills that foster independence competencies and leadership skills. Opportunities to learn about proper nutrition, good health and personal safety.
-
In addition this is also going to help me to anticipate issues and potential problems in the early stages. If your child is not meeting their typical milestone, I will work with parents to make sure every child is growing healthy. Once I know more about your child I will be able to create activities and curriculum that will support your child’s learning.
Inclusivity
I am smart, I am beautiful
I am important, I am kind and I belong here.
Children who feel included develop trust, positive attitude, sense of belonging and a strong sense of self. They show kindness and compassion to others, including those who are different from themselves.
I want my children to feel like they are neutral to every child around them and foster their differences in cultures.
We will celebrate diversity and different cultures and create curriculum to enrich the culture and backgrounds of each child.
Here at Growing Stages we welcome diversity. Each child is unique in their own way. We will celebrate that diversity to remember where we all come from.
During the Social and Emotional Development curriculum, the children will take turns to share what they love about their families and how they celebrate their culture at home. We will share in groups, compare and celebrate each other’s differences. This will create a sense of belonging and help each child feel emotionally and socially safe at the program.
Children will be encouraged to draw, paint and sing about what makes them different, as well as what makes them the same. We will learn songs in other languages as well. This will allow children to develop empathy towards one another and still be able to know that it’s ok to be different.
